Voices of Migrants has taken a few weeks to work towards expanding our platform. We recently received a $5,000 grant from Don Steinberg of the Mobilizing Men as Partners for Women, Peace and Security organization (the 2020 “Distinguished Partner for Women, Peace and Security Award”). We look forward to putting this money towards further developing our platform in a variety of ways, and contributing to Villa Caracas, a migrant community in need, as well.
We are also planning more opportunities for involvement with Voices of Migrants for various student communities in the DMV, as well as in other countries. Our webinars will be occurring once every two months, with the addition of smaller, more casual discussion groups to encourage participation from our viewers. We also encourage you to participate in our letter-writing campaign, which you can sign up for on the site.
