My name is Rose Schoshinski and I am a senior at Georgetown Visitation. I became interested in immigration in my sophomore year of high school when our class did a project where we interviewed people from different organizations to help us gain a better perspective on its implications. This project went beyond the statistical nature of the crisis and we were able to learn the
real life stories of migrants and refugees. These people are often disregarded in the countries they move to and they are often seen as a burden. Through this initiative I hope to help raise up migrant’s voices and display their humanity and courage in facing many obstacles.

¡Hola! Me llamo Rose Schoshinski y voy a entrar en mi último año del colegio. La crisis de migración me empezó a interesar en mi segundo año de secundaria. Nuestra clase hizo un proyecto en el que entrevistamos a personas de diferentes organizaciones para ayudarnos a comprender mejor la crisis de migración en el mundo. Más allá de comprender la naturaleza estadística de la crisis, pudimos aprender de las historias inspiradoras de migrantes. A través de esta iniciativa, espero ayudar a elevar las voces de los migrantes y mostrar su humanidad y coraje para enfrentar muchos obstáculos.
